Baccarat Basics – How a Round Plays Out at 333d
Before cards are dealt, you place your bet on one of three outcomes: Player, Banker or Tie.
That's the only decision you make. After betting closes, the dealer deals two cards
to the Player hand and two cards to the Banker hand.
Card values in baccarat are different from other card games:
Aces count as 1 point. Cards 2–9 count face value. Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings
are all worth 0 points (zero). The total value of a hand is calculated by adding
the card values and taking only the units digit — so a hand of 7 and 8 totals 15,
but in baccarat it counts as 5.
- The highest possible hand value is 9 — a "natural".
- If either hand is dealt a natural 8 or 9, it stands immediately — no more cards.
- A natural 9 beats a natural 8.
- Equal totals result in a Tie.
- Otherwise, third card rules determine whether another card is drawn.
You don't need to understand or memorise the third-card rules to play baccarat at
333d — the dealer (digital or live)
handles all of that automatically. They're listed in the Third Card Rules tab purely
for players who want to understand what's happening during the deal.
Third Card Rules – When an Extra Card Is Drawn
Third card drawing is handled automatically by the 333d system — you never have to decide.
Here's what happens under the hood:

Side Bets Available at 333d Baccarat Tables
Beyond the three main outcomes, some 333d
baccarat tables offer additional side bets for players looking for extra excitement
and bigger payout opportunities.
Player Pair
Bet that the Player's first two cards form a matching pair (e.g., two 7s). Pays 11:1 at 333d tables.
Banker Pair
Bet that the Banker's first two cards form a pair. Also pays 11:1. Independently resolved from the main bet.
Perfect Pair
Bet that either the Player or Banker (or both) are dealt an identical pair — same rank and same suit. Pays 25:1.
Big / Small
Bet on the total number of cards dealt in the round being 4 (Small) or 5–6 (Big). Big pays 0.54:1, Small pays 1.5:1.
Side bets carry higher house edges than main bets. Use sparingly for entertainment. Availability varies by table variant at 333d.
